What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle and soothing method of relaxation that fosters healing on many levels. It is non intrusive and complements other healing modaties that may be used including conventional cancer treatment.



When: Reiki is available every Monday morning from 10.30am to Midday, by appointment.

Cost: $15.00 ($10.00 Foundation Members)

Reiki is available during the Health Awareness Support Group meetings. See Health Awareness Support Group. A Reiki home visiting service is available by appointment.

Our Reiki Program is overseen by Reiki Master Gary McKenzie and run by trained Reiki volunteers who have successfully completed their Reiki 1 training certificate and follow the Foundation's protocol of ethical practice.


Gary McKenzie, Reiki Master

Gary first began teaching Reiki at the Cancer and Natural Therapy Foundation in June 1999. At around this time, he also served on the Board of Management. Gary obtained his Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 Certificate in 1989, and then proceeded to acquire his Reiki Master in 1993. Since this time, he has been teaching and practising Reiki at our Health Awareness Support Group Meetings. Gary is also a qualified Naturopath.
